About Nancy Phelps

Nancy Phelps, LISW, LCSW, Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) has been providing counseling, training,  and consultation to the Quad City area and many other areas for over 16 years.

She specializes in:

Counseling/Therapy: Licensed in IA and IL to provide counseling and/or therapy to adults individually, couple’s or families.  Work with clients for coaching, depression, anxiety, grief counseling, work-related, family-related, and substance abuse related.

Substance abuse evaluations/assessments.
For more than 16 years, the only Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) in the Quad Cities area.  An expert in Federal and State DOT Drug/Alcohol Compliance needs for DOT modalities: FMCSA, FRA, FTA, PHMSA,FAA, and Coast Guard.  Also providing evaluations for companies with non-DOT employees.

Consultation: Nancy also consults with human resource departments and safety managers to help with employee/employer problems such as stress management, harassment in the workplace, conflict management and team building to name a few. She also provides custom training programs for employers and their employees.

Nancy has a Masters degree in Social Work from St. Ambrose University and in 2001 she received her LMSW, she now is licensed at the independent level in Iowa and Illinois, LISW, LCSW. She also holds an Associate degree in Business Management from American Institute of Commerce and Bachelor degrees in Sociology and Psychology from St. Ambrose.

Nancy and her husband have been married for over 17 years.  They have two children, 5 grandchildren (ages 7-6 months), and a dog, Kratos (8).
